What was not possible before now is very possible with this dual purpose CD changer interface/Auxiliary Input Converter from Blitzsafe. Allows you to connect most Alpine 6 disc CD changers to most 1996 to 2004 BMW Becker or Alpine factory radio through the pre-wired factory cable located in the trunk (see specific application list below). This adapter is NOT compatible with the 1997 7-Series BMW.

Does NOT work with the Alpine-made BMW factory CD changer. This device does work with the Alpine CHM-S630 6 Disc CD Changer and the Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disc MP3 CD Changer when used in conjunction with the CPKCA130B Adapter (needed for the CHA-S634 only).

But wait....there's more!! It can also be an auxiliary input converter, allowing you to direct connect an MP3 player, DVD audio, iPod or any other external audio source into the BMW factory sound system. And just to be sure you are clear on this, it will work with or without a CD changer connected!! Blitzsafe has done it right with this one!!

INSTALLATION WARNING: Some BMWs are factory wired for a cellular phone. Except for wire location, the cell phone connector looks identical to the 3-pin power connector used for the CD changer and if connected, will damage your system. The CORRECT 3-pin connector for the CD changer has a BROWN wire (ground) in the #1 pin position. The INCORRECT 3-pin connector has the BROWN wire in the center or #2 position. Connecting the wrong 3-pin connector to the interface WILL damage the CD changer and interface and cause them to not work properly!
