The FORD/AUX DMX V.1C OEM connects to the 20-pin CD changer data port of your factory radio to create an external auxiliary input that has a pair of left and right RCA audio inputs, while at the same time, allows you to keep your factory installed CD changer connected and usable. With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.

Convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.
Add a Zune™ interface to this auxiliary input by adding the SoundGate ZNCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack.
Add an iPOD® interface to this auxiliary input by adding the SoundGate PDCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack. (Provides 5V charging for all new iPODs and iPhones, including the 3G)
Convert the RCA inputs on this device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
If installing for use with any MP3 player, cell phone or GPS nav device, you can use the SoundGate M2 universal mobile device mount that allows you to safely and securely mount your personal mobile device to the dash of your vehicle.
NOTE: NOT compatible with, nor are there any converters available for, any 2003 Ford-made vehicles equipped with the 6-Disc in-dash headunit and/or factory navigation system.
