The HON/ALP V.1D not only allows you to connect most Alpine 6 disc CD changers to most 1991 to 1999 Acura or Honda factory radio (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below), but it also gives you the ability to connect an external audio device through the Auxiliary Input Converter too!

”logjamelectronics.com” The HON-AUX connects to the 8-pin round DIN-type connector at the rear of the factory radio, as shown in the image at right. Connector location can vary from radio to radio, as many different radios were used in the Acura and Honda vehicle models during this time frame.

”logjamelectronics.com” With this device installed, in addition to adding an after market CD changer, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio that will now also allow you to plug in any external audio source, like the audio from a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPOD, into the left & right RCA-type connectors (shown at left), and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct-connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. This device does not work like that.

Comes complete with all cables and connectors to connect this interface to your vehicle. See "Additional Add-on Items", shown below, for any additional cables or connectors you might need to connect your audio device to the RCA-type connectors on this interface.

Specific Vehicle Application Information List:

For Acura: Compatible with all Models 1991-1999 (except all SLX, and 1998-1999 RL)

Honda: Compatible with all Models 1992-1998 (Except 1998 Accord & all Passport)

This device works with the Alpine CHM-S630 6 Disc CD Changer and the Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disc MP3 CD Changer when used in conjunction with the CPKCA130B Adapter (needed for the CHA-S634 only).

Connects into the 8-pin connector either behind the factory radio or into the 8-pin connector in the rear of the vehicle if the vehicle has been pre-wired for a CD changer.

Will work as an auxiliary input converter with or without a CD Changer connected.

NOT compatible the vehicles with factory navigation systems.

NOT compatible with vehicles that have the factory in-dash 6-disc factory CD changer.

Pressing the "Track Up" button and then the "Track Down" button, switches between the CD Changer and the Auxiliary input device.
