The Blitzsafe LROV/AUX DMX V.1 Auxiliary Input Converter converts the CD Changer port of your OEM factory radio into an auxiliary input. With this converter installed, you can now connect any device that has RCA outputs directly to your radio without using an FM modulator. Compatible with all models of 1998 - 2003 Land Rover and Range Rover factory radios. Plugs into the 8-pin data port in the rear of the radio. Switches to the auxiliary input by pressing the "CD" button on the factory radio.
With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it. Additional Add-on Items:

Add an iPOD® interface to this auxiliary input by adding the SoundGate PDCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack. (Provides 5V charging for all new iPODs and iPhones, including the 3G)
Convert the RCA inputs on this device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
