Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 1998-2004 VW Auxiliary Input Converter (See Specific Vehicle Application List below)

The best interfaces sold on-line at Logjam ElectronicsThe Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 Auxiliary Input Converter converts the CD Changer port of your factory radio into an auxiliary input. This device is compatible with many 1998 - 2004 Volkswagens equiped with a radio that has a "round" scan button and has the 8-pin connector at the radio (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below).

With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.

Note: The VW/AUX DMX V.3 is NOT compatible with 2002.5-2006 double-DIN AM/FM/Cassette/CD factory radio as the connector in the rear of the radio is different. For 2002.5-2006 double-DIN radios, see VW/AUX DMX V.5.

Additional Add-on Items:

  • Convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.
  • Add a Zune™ interface to this auxiliary input by adding the ZNCBLPAK Soundgate CORE™ Cable pack.
  • Add an iPOD® interface to this auxiliary input by adding the SoundGate PDCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack. (Provides 5V charging for all new iPODs and iPhones, including the 3G)
  • Convert the RCA inputs on this device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
