 The Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3A Auxiliary Input Converter converts the CD Changer port of your OEM factory radio into an auxiliary input. This device is compatible with many of the 1998 - 2009 Volkswagens equiped with a radio that has a "round" scan button and has the 12-pin factory CD changer connector at the rear of the vehicle or under the seat or in the glove box (pre-wired) (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below).
Comes complete with all cables and connectors necessary to connect this interface to your vehicle. See "Additional Add-on Items", shown below, for any additional cables or connectors you might need to connect your specific audio device to the RCA-type connectors on this interface. For non-pre-wired vehicles, see the Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 interface. Note: The VW/AUX DMX V.3A is NOT compatible with any 2002.5-2006 double-DIN AM/FM/Cassette/CD factory radio, unless the vehicle is pre-wired for a factory CD changer. With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will now allow you to plug in any external audio source, like the audio from a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, into the left & right RCA-type connectors (shown at right), and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct-connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. This device does not work like that. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.
