  
The I-HONDA-R4/5V "Silverline/PRO" Series...high quality iPod™ vehicle integration, now with 5V charging for all iPOD & iPhone™ models!!
The I-HONDA-R4/5V "Silverline/PRO" iPOD interface is designed to connect any iPOD directly to the factory radio in many 2003-2009 Acura and Honda vehicles (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below). The I-HONDA-R4/5V gives you digital quality sound, charges your iPOD, gives you control of the iPOD from the factory radio and steering wheel controls, if your vehicle is so equipped, and comes complete with everything you need to install it.
 The I-HONDA-R4/5V connects to the 14-pin connector at the rear of the factory radio, shown in the image at right. Depending on what factory options your vehicle has, there could already be a factory wiring harness plugged into the 14-pin radio connector. The wiring harness that comes with the I-HONDA-R4/5V is designed with a 'Y' connector that allows you to reconnect the factory wiring harness, if so equipped, once the I-HONDA-R4/5V interface is installed, keeping all existing factory options functional.
 The I-HONDA-R4 Silverline/PRO series interface was designed for content navigation. First the contents are narrowed by selecting a Playlist, and then further narrowed by selecting an Artist. If desired, further content filtering can be achieved by selecting an Album. Of course, having Playlists is not a requirement, and users are free to explore music in their own preferred way. Best of all, while browsing for new content, playback of the current selection is not interrupted until an actual selection is made.
Vehicles with steering wheel controls will work well with this iPod kit, allowing the driver to change tracks and in some cases Rewind and Fast Forward. The device also features an auxiliary input jack making a portable satellite radio or DVD player connection simple.
The features of the I-HONDA-R4/5V "Silverline/PRO" include:
Text display (XM-Ready radios only) - View Playlist, Artist, Album and Song name displayed on the radio screen
Browsing – Based on the iPod hierarchy, browse by Playlist, Artist, Album and Song
Controls from radio, steering wheel (if available) – iPod is locked - Browse on your radio the same way as if you would on your iPod. Note that all the latest iPod models are locked when connected to any accessory.
CD-quality audio (depends on MP3 bitrate)
AUX input - It allows connection of aftermarket satellite radio, non Apple MP3 players and more

Additional Add-on Items You May Need to Complete Installation of your audio device to the Dice auxiliary input that is part of the iPOD interface:
If you need more than one auxiliary audio input, you can convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.
If you are wanting to connect a Zune™ player with this interface, you can connect directly to the bottom connector of the Zune by adding the SoundGate ZNCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack.
If you are needing to connect to the 3.5mm connector of your audio device, you can do that by adding the PIE 3.5-3.56MM cable.
If you are wanting to connect to RCA-type connectors of your audio device, you can convert the RCA inputs on your audio device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
If you are using this interface to connect the audio from any MP3 player, cell phone or GPS nav device, and you want to mount your personal mobile device safely and securely to the dash of your vehicle without drilling any holes, you can add the SoundGate M2 universal mobile device. Great for leased vehicles, company cars and rental cars and vehicles.

Works with or without the 6 disc in-dash CD changer and does NOT disable the 6-disc changer unless noted otherwise.

If vehicle does not have the XM ready radio and is equipped with the factory remote mounted CD changer, or factory remote mounted CD/MP3 player, the CD changer MUST be disconnected in order to use the I-HONDA-R4/5V "Silverline/PRO".
IMPORTANT FACTORY XM APPLICATION NOTE:
You can retain the factory XM tuner with the I-HONDA-R4/5V by operating the interface in the 'CDC' or CD changer mode. However, operating the iPOD interface in the 'CDC' mode disables the iPOD text display through the factory radio in both nav or non-nav radios.
