Product Description:
The DUO-101-HON iPod interface is an in car adapter designed to connect any iPod or iPhone directly to the factory radio in many 2003-2010 Acura and Honda vehicles (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List) and have the iPod play through the car speakers. The kit includes everything needed to connect an iPod or iPhone to your vechicle’s factory radio system. The interface delivers great sound quality with balanced audio design and creates a seamless interconnection between the devices and the entertainment system of the vehicle. Text display is available on radio systems where CD or SAT text is supported. The interface also delivers integrated control from the radio, steering wheel, the connected device. The DUO also keeps your iPod and iPhone charged and ready to go.
Vehicles with steering wheel controls will work well with this iPod kit, allowing the driver to change tracks, Rewind and Fast Forward.
 Installation is simple as this interface connects to a 14-pin connector, shown at right, at the rear or the bottom of the factory radio (depending on which radio you have in your vehicle) using the vehicle-specific cable that comes with the interface (Click on image to see a larger photo of the connector on a Honda radio).
Depending on what factory options your vehicle has, there could already be a factory wiring harness plugged into the 14-pin radio connector. The wiring harness that comes with this interface device is designed with a 'Y' connector that allows you to reconnect the factory wiring harness, if a factory wiring harness is there, once the Acura/Honda interface is installed, keeping all existing factory options functional. If there is no factory wiring harness plugged into the 14-pin connector, the female end of the 14-pin 'Y' harness that comes with the interface will remain empty after installation.
The device also features a built-in Sirius tuner interface allowing you to connect an SC-C1 Sirius Tuner (sold separately) at the same time as your iPod. Control and programming text display of the SC-C1 will be presented to your factory radio as if the Sirius was factory installed!
