The I-MAZDA-R2/5V plays high quality music from your iPod through your existing car entertainment system's satellite radio port in many 2004-2007 Mazda vehicles (see Specific Vehicle Application List below). You can start enjoying crisp, clean CD quality music with charging and controlling your iPOD from your existing car entertainment system, including the steering wheel controls, if so equipped.
When used with compatible vehicle entertainment systems (see specific vehicle application list below), the I-MAZDA-R2/5V starts and stops the iPOD as you enter and exit the satellite radio mode on your car's entertainment system by pressing the 'SAT' button. You can also set up the iPOD with the factory radio to work in three different modes:
Simple iPOD Mode - Full controls are available from the iPOD and simple browsing of the iPOD can be done from the factory radio; there is no iPOD text display support on radio screen. This mode is ideal for those factory radios that do not have text capabilities.
Locked Mode - Full controls are available from the radio only, with text display on the radio only. This mode is ideal for radio with text display capabilities.
Dice Mode - Text display and full controls available on both the iPOD and the factory radio. This mode is only available on 5th generation and earlier iPOD models and for factory radios that have text display capabilities. (Dice has not indicated which radios are or are not text capable, therefore we cannot be specific on which radios will display text from the iPOD and which radios will not. - - Logjam Tech Support)
Additional Add-on Items You May Need to Complete Installation of your audio device to the Dice auxiliary input that is part of the iPOD interface:
If you need more than one auxiliary audio input, you can convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.
If you are wanting to connect a Zune™ player with this interface, you can connect directly to the bottom connector of the Zune by adding the SoundGate ZNCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack.
If you are needing to connect to the 3.5mm connector of your audio device, you can do that by adding the PIE 3.5-3.56MM cable.
If you are wanting to connect to RCA-type connectors of your audio device, you can convert the RCA inputs on your audio device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
If you are using this interface to connect the audio from any MP3 player, cell phone or GPS nav device, and you want to mount your personal mobile device safely and securely to the dash of your vehicle without drilling any holes, you can add the SoundGate M2 universal mobile device. Great for leased vehicles, company cars and rental cars and vehicles.

Selected radios supporting CD text display will also show text from the iPOD allowing you to view song title and artist name.
