The Logjam Electronics' 30 day defective product replacement policy was created to provide an immediate replacement to our customer if the product purchased from us failed within the first 30 days from date of purchase. We send a new replacement product to you and provide a pre-paid UPS return label so you can send the defective product back. In the rare instance where a customer fails to send the original product back to us, Logjam Electronics is protected by having the customer's credit card information and can recoup the cost of the second product.
For customers using PayPal for their purchase, and because of the way PayPal works, that protection against a non-returned product does not exist. In the 10 months Logjam Electronics has been accepting PayPal for purchases, we have had several PayPal customers who did not return the original purchased product once a new replacement product was sent to them.
Consequently, as a protection against non-returned products from PayPal users, if your original purchase is through PayPal, and the product goes defective within the first 30 days from the original purchase date, before Logjam Electronics will send the new warranty replacement, a security deposit equal to the purchase price plus shipping for the replacement product will be required. Then, once the defective product is returned using the supplied pre-paid UPS return label, Logjam Electronics will refund the security deposit through PayPal.
