  If your radio has as a 3.5mm dash-mounted auxiliary audio input, whether it is an aftermarket radio with a built-in auxiliary input, or a factory radio with a built-in auxiliary input, or you have a factory radio that you have added an aftermarket Auxiliary Input Converter to, with RCA-type connectors, you can connect and play your iPod or iPhone™, including the 3G & 3G/S iPhone, through your radio using the CPUNI-PD5V. Control of the iPod remains with the iPod itself, but the iPod audio will be directly connected to the factory radio (not an FM modulator) and the iPod will charge when connected, even if it is one of the newly released iPods or iPhones. The CPUNI-PD5V includes:
(A) - Main processor box - The central processor of the iPod interface; plugs into the bottom connector of the iPod.
(B) - 28" A/V RCA breakout cable - Plugs into the processor (A), providing left & right audio outputs and a video output; is used when you have an Auxiliary Input Converter installed in your vehicle for audio input, and/or you have a composite video input either as a factory input or if you're using a Video Interface connected to your Nav screen.
(C) - 28" 3.5mm minijack cable - Plugs into the processor(A), and into your factory radio's auxiliary input minijack, if so equipped.
(D) - Permanent-install power harness - For hard-wiring into the vehicle to provide a permanent 5V power and charging source.
