 The AUD-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter converts the CD changer port of many 1998-2006 Audi factory radios into an auxiliary input (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below). This device is designed to connect to the 13-pin CD changer DIN connector in the rear of the Audi vehicle. However, it is possible to connect behind the factory radio on some Audi radios installed in some vehicles. See the Audi vehicle application list on the VWR-AUX web page.
Comes complete with all cables and connectors to connect this device to your vehicle. See "Additional Add-on Items", shown below, for any additional cables or connectors you might need to connect your audio device to the RCA-type connectors on this interface. Please Note: This is a direct-connect audio-only auxiliary input converter, and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it. With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will now allow you to plug in any external audio source, like the audio from a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, into the left & right RCA-type connectors (shown at left), and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct-connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. This device does not work like that.
