Add an Alpine CD Changer to your Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Radio with this CD changer interface. The FRD03/PC-ALP interface will allow your Ford/Lincoln/Mercury factory radio to control an Alpine CD Changer. Compatible with all vehicles listed below that are equipped with the "Phase II" style CD changer controlling factory radio with 16- & 24-pin connectors. The FRD03/PC-ALP connects at the rear of the factory radio plugging into the 16- and 24-pin connectors located there. If your vehicle is pre-wired from the factory with a data cable running to the rear/trunk, see FRDW/PC-ALP. IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES:
Compatible with the Alpine CHM-S630 6 Disc CD Changer as well as the Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disc MP3 CD Changer when used in conjunction with the ALP/Ai-M Interface Adapter.

NOT compatible with 2003-2005 vehicles equipped with the 6-Disc in-dash headunit that are NOT equipped with external CD changer capabilities. This means that if you have a 6-disc in-dash CD changer and your factory radio can have another externally mounted (not in the dash) CD changer installed and be able to control both CD changer devices, this device will work with your vehicle.
NOT compatible with vehicles with Ford's "1st generation" factory navigation system with the single disc CD player.
This device IS compatible with Lincoln's "2nd Generation" NAV radio. This radio is found in 2004-2005 Aviator, LS, Navigator and Town Car and can be identified by having an internal 6-disc player (the 1st generation Navigation Radio had only a single-disc player).
Not compatible with the 2005 Ford 500.
