The MAZ/PC-ALP, along with the addition of the ALP/M-RCA cable (Sold separately - see below for ordering info), allows you to create an auxiliary audio input allowing you to connect any audio source to many 2002 to 2006 Mazda factory radio without using an FM modulator (Please see Specific Vehicle Application List below).
With this device and the ALP/M-RCA cable (Sold separately - see below for ordering info) installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will now allow you to plug in any external audio source, like the audio from a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPOD, into the left & right RCA-type connectors (shown at left), and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct-connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. This device does not work like that.
The MAZ/PC-ALP can also be used as a CD changer interface that allows you to connect most Alpine 6 disc CD changers to the Mazda factory radio through the 16-pin CD changer port located in the rear of the radio (see specific vehicle application list below).
Compatible with the Alpine CHM-S630 6 Disc CD Changer as well as the Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disc MP3 CD Changer when used in conjunction with the ALP/Ai-M Interface Adapter.
