The MIT-3.5M is designed to create an auxiliary input through the factory radio of many 2003-2007 Mitsubishi vehicles (see Specific Vehicle Application List below), that have auxiliary input capabilities. This device will allow you to connect and play an external audio device such as an iPOD, MP3 player, portable DVD or any other external audio device, through your factory radio.
Measuring approximately 6ft long, the MIT-3.5M has a 3-terminal connection cable (see illustrations below) that connects to either the 14-pin or the 22-pin connector, depending on which radio is installed in your vehicle. A male 3.5mm audio plug is on the other end of the cable for easy connection to any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play that audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct-connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. This device does not work like that.
