Product Description:
The TOY03-POD/S iPod interface and auxiliary input converter is an iPod interface that works without requiring you to disable any of the factory radio options! The TOY03-POD/S allows you to interface your iPod directly to the factory radio in many 2003-2008 Lexus/Toyota/Scion vehicles (see Specific Vehicle Application List). The TOY03-POD/S also comes with a built-in auxiliary input so that, in addition to having your iPod connected to your radio, you can also have the audio from any other auxiliary audio source, like a satellite radio, portable DVD or another MP3 player connect too.
 The TOY03-POD/S connects to the 12-pin connector located at the rear of the factory radio. The image to the right shows the 12-pin connector as it is located on one style of Toyota radio. Connector location and connector configuration may vary by individual Toyota radio style.
When installed, the TOY03-POD/S allows you to continue using any and all current factory radio options without disabling any of them. The device also allows text display from the iPod (see example below), will charge the iPod while connected, and also provides the option of controlling your iPod either through the factory radio, or controlling the iPod with the iPod itself, giving you the flexibility to use your iPod the way YOU want to use it!

 You will control the iPod by using the factory radios ability to control a satellite tuner. Other features of the iPod interface are:
Charges the iPod then connected.
Also adds an additional auxiliary input that can be used for another audio device.
Can do individual searches by artist, album, playlist, or genre, and will display the Artist name, Song title, Album title and Playlist name 10 characters at a time.
This image at left is an example of how the display works on non-navigational Toyota radios that have the 10-segment 10-character display. The images shows how the display will continue to cycle through the Artist's name (Grand Funk), then the first 10 characters of the song title (Closer to), then the second 10 characters of the song title (my Home), and then back to the Artist's name and so on.
