Unique to the UNi-POD, is the RCA output level adjustment that allows you to match the iPOD's audio output level to the auxiliary input converter's input requirements. This will allow you to match perfectly the volume level of the iPOD to the same volume level of the other functions (AM, FM, CD player, XM, etc.) of your factory radio.

The UNi-POD is an add-on unit to radios that already have an auxiliary input port or a factory radio where an auxiliary input converter installed, allowing you to directly connect your iPOD using the bottom connector of the iPOD. Unique to the UNi-POD, is the output level adjustment that allows you to match the iPOD's audio output level to the auxiliary input converter's input requirements. This will allow you to match perfectly the volume level of the iPOD to the same volume level of the other functions (AM, FM, CD player, XM, etc.) of your factory radio.

The UNi-POD installs to an auxiliary input converter's RCA connectors, shown at right, and to the bottom connector of your iPOD. You then connect the ground (Blk) wire, the switched 12V (Red) wire and the constant 12V (Yellow) wire and you are all set. When connected, you will get the cleanest sound, plus it will also charge your iPOD while you are using it. As an added feature, the Uni-POD will extend the charge of the iPod for an additional twenty minutes after the vehicle ignition is turned off. Or, if this extended charging feature is not wanted, just connect the green wire to chassis ground and the extended charging feature is disabled. Because of this unique design, you control the kind of charging cycle for the iPod based on your own personal use.
