The PIE VW02-AUX is an Auxiliary Input Converter made specifically to install behind the factory radio of many 2002.5 through 2008 Volkswagen vehicles (see Specific Vehicle Application List below), which have the Premium 6 double-DIN cassette/CD player combo radio, eliminating the need to install the auxiliary input converter in the rear of the vehicle and then run RCA cables from the rear to the passenger compartment. Plugs directly into the new smaller 12-pin CD changer port in the rear of the factory double-DIN radio (see Installation Diagram below).
With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPOD, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.

Convert the RCA inputs on this device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
Important Application Notes:
NOT compatible with the 2005.5 & up in-dash 6-disc CD changer radios.
Vehicle MUST have the double-DIN sized AM/FM/CD/Cassette combo radio
