For specific use with a factory external CD changer (not the in-dash changer)!

The Soundgate SDSBMW allows you to add not one, but two audio sources in between the factory CD changer and the factory radio, keeping your factory CD changer functional! A simple three position rocker switch, which mounts in the passenger compartment and is about the size of a quarter, and will allow you to switch between CD Changer and the two auxiliary inputs.

”logjamelectronics.com” With this device installed, you will have created two auxiliary audio inputs to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.

Each Docking Station cable comes complete with a remote control cable and a Three position rocker selector switch that allows the user to easily select between CD changer "O", Input "I" and Input "II".

Comes complete with all cables and connectors to connect this interface to your vehicle. See "Additional Add-on Items", shown below, for any additional cables or connectors you might need to connect your audio device to the RCA-type connectors on this interface.

Additional Add-on Items You May Need to Complete Installation:

If you need more than one audio input, you can convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.

If you are wanting to connect a Zune™ player with this interface, you can connect directly to the bottom connector of the Zune by adding the SoundGate ZNCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack.

If you are wanting to connect an iPOD™ with this interface, you can connect directly to the bottom connector of the iPOD by adding the SoundGate PDCBLPAK CORE™ Cable pack. (Provides 5V charging for all new iPODs and iPhones, including the 3G)

If you are wanting to connect to the earphone jack of your audio device, you can convert the RCA inputs on this interface to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.

If you are using this interface to connect the audio from any MP3 player, cell phone or GPS nav device, and you want to mount your personal mobile device safely and securely to the dash of your vehicle without drilling any holes, you can add the SoundGate M2 universal mobile device. Great for leased vehicles, company cars and rental cars and vehicles.
